Great Grand Children  
Yoshi is proud of all her grand children and great grandchildren and is especially happy to note she is the great grandmother of PGA Golf Pro Rickie Fowler who started his professional playing career in 2010. Selected for the Ryder Cup Team the youngest player to be selected for the team. Prior to turning Pro Rickie attended OSU Oklahoma State first freshman recipient of the prestigious Ben Hogan Award and twice chosen to play on the Walker Cup Team. . . . . . . . .
Brother and Sisters  
Yoshi was the 2nd oldest of 7 children of Tometsugu Okubo and Miejoko Kato Okubo. Her brothers were Benji, Senji, Shinji, Toku and sister Mine' and a 7th child died at childbirth. . . . . . . . . . . . .Benji and Mine' were accomplished artists. Benji, part of the Students Art League of Los Angeles CA active in the 1920's and 1930's. Mine' graduated from Berkeley with a Masters in Art went on the study art on a scholarship and travel throughout Europe just before WWII broke out. . . . . . . . . . . During World War II they were all interned in various relocations camps because they were Japanese-Americans. Toku and Senji were drafted into the Army. Toku sent to Japan as an interperter and Senji was part of the famous Army 442nd fighting in Italy. While in Topaz Relocation Camp Mine' made drawings of camp life and eventually was released to work for Fortune Magazine in New York. She published a pictoral account of her experiences in camp called Citizen 13660. It has been in publication since 1946. . . . . . . . . . .
